One year ago today, on May 25th 2021, George Floyd was murdered at the hands of Minneapolis police. His story, along with the stories of countless others, reinvigorated the fight for social justice and police reform across the country.

According to the New York Times, today 55% of Americas express at least some support for the Black Lives Matter movement, down from the 67% recorded in the months directly following Floyd's murder. As the nation continues after Biden's election, and as we begin to recover from a devastating pandemic, we cannot forget our fight for justice because Black Lives Matter.
