Letter from Our President, Nichelae Mcfarlane

Welcome to the University’s website of Thurgood Marshall Pre-Law Society! Founded in 1992 by a group of students of colour who saw limits on the entry of minorities to enter into the legal field. Their vision of scholarship, and avenues of legal freedom and entry into the  world prompted them to create an organisation for and by students of colour on Binghamton University’s campus.

We are the first, and the only Pre-Law organisation on campus, and as such we have cultivated our organisation to be a safe and inclusive space to discuss current and historical social issues while providing resources to prepare undergraduates for Law school. More than 20 years later we pride ourselves by following the spirit of the organisation, and building upon the plan set in place for students who want to change the world.

As such, we welcome you to explore our website as we proudly share who we are and the principles for which we stand. This website is intended to support and update our members and expand the resources we provide. I hope you enjoy your visit and come back again as we provide frequent updates for you all.
